Strategic Repositioning
The rebranding of the Synapse Research Institute begins with the foundation of the branding: the logo design. This evolved from a theme logo to the face of Synapse.
The Challenge
Following a shift in the business model, confusion arose: Research (R&D/Education) and Pharma (commercial) were under a single brand, logo, and website. The brand experience was unclear.
Stoere Binken Design was asked to devise a solution to improve the confusion in communication and resolve the disconnect in the brand experience.
The Solution
Our solution was to split the existing brand identity into two separate entities. Each receives its own logo, color palette, and website. This ensures that each target group has its own experience:
We designed the color palette so that we could swap the base color and the action color. In doing so, we created two distinctly different, fresh color palettes using the same corporate identity colors.
Result
Smart use of color ensures a unified style, yet maximum clarity for Research and Pharma. Strong branding and smart UX/UI build customer trust *and* emotional connection.
Bold design that speaks
We didn’t have to think long about the visual language: Round. Platelets are round, so we opted for powerful, round shapes. From circles to an abstract representation of a platelet as the campaign image. Clever use of color creates depth and recognition.
The elements we use on the website translate perfectly to print materials. Everything guarantees consistent branding and a massive improvement in brand image.
